Pelvic Floor Occupational Therapy

Specialized Care for Pelvic Health

I'm sure you have questions and I'm here to help!

Occupational therapists are educated to look at the person holistically. This includes the client’s current environment, occupations, performance patterns, and performance skills (activity). We combine all these things into helping the client achieve their goals. We are skilled to provide modifications and education as needed to improve the task or to make the task simpler. As an example, in pelvic floor therapy one of the many things we assess is the client’s body mechanics and breathing patterns during their occupations to limit / improve their symptoms. This can include placing the child into their car seat to limit low back pain, or picking up the child with proper breathing coordination patterns to limit urine incontinence. And so much more!
